No, you do not have to be a member to attend.

The chapter or council adviser is responsible for the registration for the LEAD Conference. For every twelve students there needs to be an adviser, school leader, or parent/chaperone.

Once you register yourself, you will see where to add additional advisers, administrators, and parents/chaperone.

Students cannot register themselves for LEAD. All registrations must be coordinated through the chapter or council’s adviser.

When you start your registration for a group, you receive a confirmation email marked “LEAD Registrar” with a group number. From that email you will be able to log back into you registration to update the information, add student name, adviser names etc. Any registrations that do not complete will result in a cancelled record within 10 days.

You may email us at [email protected] or call 800-253-7746, option 8.

Hotel Information

Each school is responsible for booking its own hotel accommodations.

Making hotel reservations does NOT guarantee your attendance at LEAD – you must have a confirmed registration.

Any additional questions not covered here? Feel free to contact us at [email protected] or call 800-253-7746, option 8.

Transportation Information

The hotel is 1.6 miles from the airport. You can take an Uber, Lyft, Cab etc. with your group, or you can jump on the metro at the airport, and it is a quick ride to the hotel.

You can call the hotel to arrange a shuttle for your group’s arrival. You may need to wait a bit if it is out on other runs. Here is the number: 202/737-1234……. ask for shuttle pick up from DCA.

Just an FYI – Uber is the quickest way, but the shuttle is free.
